The weather is changing.

As I walked to the gym this morning (oops - am I showing off?), I noticed that the leaves are finally starting to change.

This weather seems more like late Sept than late October. I looked up some geeky weather statistics here . . .

. . . and it's been the warmest, sunniest September for ages. Probably the warmest Oct too.

Climate change is definitely happening. I wonder how long I'll be able to keep on hoping for a 'White Christmas' each year? The snow last year was fab - but only about two inches actually fell anywhere near me. Not really enough to make a snow angel is it?

I took this photo of burnt trees in California. I wonder how it would look if I made it black and white? Maybe kinda scary?

No - don't get excited - I haven't been cooking!

I'm learning more about blogging and I had a look at BoingBoing which is a famously fabulous blog.

They had an article about this utterly splendid Discworld cake and there was even a link to a detailed page about how it was made.

It reminded me of just how much I love Terry Pratchett's Discworld books and how I really must start reading them again very soon.
