A friend from bubble land came in to see the tiny folk today.

Her current art project is about hopes and fears - a real contrast to her previous photographic work about discarded banana skins.

The tiny folk had ideas which included the following:

I love hanging out with the tiny folk.

pancake day

Today I passed on my skills in the art of pancake tossing. That took the first three minutes, and then after that we just kept on working on our techniques.

If you look closely at this delightful picture, you'll see my very own frying pan with an actual pancake nestled within.

Sadly, the pictures of this actual pancake being tossed are not of the usual standard to which this blog attempts to adhere, and have therefore not been shown.

You're not missing much though.

posting a letter

Life has been very exciting recently. Today I went on a journey with the tiny folk. We travelled along pavements and across roads . . .
all the way to our local post box!

On our way back to school, we even saw the lollipop man!

My life is just filled with adventure and surprises these days!

snow day

I had a fab day out in the snow and had an extra day off work too!

Windsor Castle

I went to Windsor Castle today for a little jolly outing.

It was a bit freezy cold and cloudish, so I didn't take many pictures.

I certainly didn't take this one . . .

But it was a fun day out. Huzzah for castles!

Winter Wonderland

Well . . . this event was certainly a lot better than last year's effort.

There was plenty of food on offer.

There were crafts of all kinds.

There was even a snack hut shaped like a big fat bulb of garlic.

Maybe next year's Wonderland will really have that Christmas magic?

very penny hel

During a visit to the Museum of London Docklands today, I saw this unusual box-shaped exhibit.

I went to take a closer look and soon realised that it was a donation box.

Aha! The box obviously had "please donate" written in a different language on each side.

Probably "very penny hel" was some kind of Scandinavian language?

But no, the truth was actually far less complicated . . .

I'm not even making any of this up!

I had another lovely trip to Camden Market, where I saw many colourful and interesting things.

I had high hopes for a lovely day out with my friends . . .

Unfortunately, my friends were lovely but the weather was not. So we left pretty quickly.

Silver Serenade

The dear old Pinkies had their 25th Anniversary Concert tonight, and it was great. The singing was fantastic - actually surpassing their usual extremely high standards - and the choreography was utterly splendid!

Well done Pinkies - you're fabulous!

Pink Pride

Here are some of the dear old Pinkies singing today at London Pride. They were originally formed to sing at a Pride event here 25 years ago. Yes, they were here twenty five years ago - can you Adam and Eve it?
