2007 fitness update

I was looking back at my January posts and remembered that I actually went for a run outdoors in the chilly fresh air on New Year's Day. Sadly though, my fabulous fitness campaign hasn't really got going yet this year. There's been more fatness than fitness so far. . .

We woke up to snow this morning!

Luckily I was at college today, which is set in beautiful landscaped grounds, so I was able to get some photos before the morning session began. There wasn't much snow but it was enough to dramatically change the view.

I walked over a snow-covered lawn on my way to the college library.

It was great to feel the crisp, fresh snow crunching under my boots.

I've been really busy recently with my four 'jobs'.

Pets

I've been thinking about pets a lot recently. How great they are, how much of an impact they have on our lives, and how sad it is when they are gone. I thought I'd share some recent photos of my own bestest furry friend.

It was lots of fun holding the camera in one hand and the cat in the other.

Sending lots of love to all who have been having pet problems or sad losses in recent weeks.

Ice is nice

I was passing by the Plant and Animal Shack the other day and all the various outdoor lights surrounding the ice rink looked so winterly and sparkly that I whipped out my ever-present camera phone and took this snap.


I took some photos inside the shack too but that was a 'nother time and so I'll post them on some 'nother day.

To start my new year's fitness campaign in style, I went for a run this morning! In fact, there was rather a lot of brisk walking/warming up/ warming down and not that much time spent actually running/jogging/lumbering along but it's the thought that counts. Let's be glad that there aren't any accompanying pictures.

Hope 2007 is an utterly fab year for us all!
