Hen-tastic

This weekend, I finally got to participate in the splendidly bizarre ritual that is known as a Hen Night. I think the US equivalent is a bachelorette party?

We met outside Burger King in Piccadilly Circus (setting a classy tone straight away) and began to festoon ourselves. I was lucky enough to receive a whistle and a beer mug - both as necklaces on sparkly chains. I also got my devil's horns (to get me in the horny mood?) and a delightful sash which declared that we were 'chicks on tour'.

Here I am with the happy Hen (she's the one with wings).

It took a while for me to get really horny - who knew that there was a knack to wearing these things?! I'm looking a bit more alert in this picture.

A splendid time was had by all. Although I didn't attend the afternoon sauna or late-night pub & club section of the Hen Night, I've heard that those events were also highly enjoyable for the participants.

I enjoyed parading through Central London in my sash and other decorations, obviously. However, there was an even greater delight to come. . .
for the first time, I had a dessert at Wagamama. It was this ice cream thing. It was absolutely fantastic! I could barely contain my pleasure in tasting it and was torn between shovelling it down asap (in my usual 'at home' eating style) and actually savouring the flavour in a gourmet food-tasting kind of way. I think I managed something in between.

I appreciate that in the picture it doesn't look nearly as good as it tasted. So for the chocoholics among you (and there are many) I include this unrelated Wagamama dessert.

I will also take this opportunity to announce that, contrary to all my previous statements, I do like mango. Thank you.
